Designation of the optical cable FinMark consists of several groups of letters and digits meaning the following;

The first two letters designate cable type:

UT – UniTube cable with one optical module
LT – Loose Tube cable with several optical modules and central power element
MT – cable for internal installations with fiber in tight buffer (Tight Buffered)
MB – Break-Out cable in which each fiber is placed in the individual protective shield
PS – cable for patch cords and jumpers
PA – reinforced cable for patch cords and jumpers
FTTH - (Fiber-to-the-home) cable for building of access networks with deep penetration to home

Three digits – number of fibers in cable

From 002 to 288 for cables with separate fibers and up to 720 for cables with ribbon fibers
For example: 004 – 4 fibers in cable; 196 – 196 fibers in cable

Fiber type:

SM – single-mode standard fiber corresponding to requirements of ITU.T-652.D
MM – multi-mode fiber 50/125 mkm
SS – single-mode fiber with shifted dispersion corresponding to requirements of ITU.T-655

Two digits – constructive features:
